ABOUT DAY OF GIVING 

Each year on April 17 we honor the legacy of our Founders and their vision of a community where women feel supported and loved by one another. This year, in conjunction with Founders' Day, we're hosting Day of Giving!

With your gift to the Foundation, you are helping to ensure our Sisterhood is strong now and well into the future. Your gift will go towards leadership coaching, educational programming, leadership events and programs, like The Founders' Academy (TFA), that will inspire our Sisters to realize their potential. 

Since it was established, the Alpha Xi Delta Foundation has awarded more than $6 million for Alpha Xi Delta’s educational programs, scholarships and philanthropic activities. Learn more about programs supported by the Foundation.

All donations to the Alpha Xi Delta are 100% tax deductible.

SHARE WITH YOUR CIRCLE:  We’d love if you would share this campaign with your community, Sisters, friends, family, loved ones, and social media connections, and share why you continue to support the Alpha Xi Delta Foundation. Be sure to use the hashtag #AXiDDayofGiving By amplifying your story and sharing the work of the Foundation with your inner circles, you can play a key role in helping us continue to pave the way for future generations of Alpha Xi Deltas to realize their potential.

  • What is a Day of Giving Ambassador?

    Someone who shares their experiences, memories, and love for Alpha Xi Delta in a way that helps others to remember, reconnect, and celebrate! Our goal is to have as many Sisters celebrate Day of Giving as possible so that the Foundation can continue to support the impactful experiences for our current undergraduate members and future generations of Alpha Xi Deltas.  

  • Why are Day of Giving Ambassadors important?

    Everyone's Alpha Xi Delta experience is unique. Different generations, chapter sizes, campus sizes, housing experiences and so much more play a role in the way we experience Sisterhood. When a Day of Giving Ambassador shares their experience, it helps unite Sisters across the experience spectrum by identifying those core experiences of our Sisterhood that connect us all together.  

  • How do I become a Day of Giving Ambassador?

    Sign up by using the form below! You will get a message once you complete the form where you can download an Ambassador Toolkit and graphics to use on your social media channels to share about Day of Giving.


    You will also receive step-by-step instructions of how to set up your official team page using CrowdChange via email from our Foundation staff.


  • What does a Day of Giving Ambassador do?

    Raise Awareness: Through social media, contacting Sisters, and reflecting on your membership experience. 


    Build Community: Share memories, photographs, or other reminders of your collegiate experience with your Sisters and your wider social media audience. 


    Engage Community: Tag Sisters in posts and photos. Invite others to reflect on their memories and to help pay it forward to the next generation by making a gift to the Alpha Xi Delta Foundation!

From a scholarship recipient


"By being a scholarship recipient from the Alpha Xi Delta Foundation, I'm able to continue my education with hopes of becoming an Accountant. As a first generation college student, being able to continue my higher education has always been a dream. This fall I will be able to continue my education and finish my undergrad with plans to continue onto earning my master's degree. During my time in Alpha Xi Delta, I have gained friendship, opportunities, and memories that will last a lifetime."

Why we do what we do


"When I think back to my time as an undergraduate, I pause in awe of the exposure and experience this time gave to me. Being a Sister meant everything to me - the friendships, building networking opportunities, and making memories that will last a lifetime. I would tell this to anyone - my chapter exposed me to experiences not even a major could've given to me. If I had to sum up this time to a few words, it revealed to me the foundation I wanted to set for my life after my collegiate years. A commitment to lifelong education and proactively volunteering in my community."
